| The owner & operator of Tall Tails Taxidermy is Dan Baker. Dan grew up in rural Washington, MO in a large family. Hunting since he was a child, Dan's fascination with wildlife, conservation and the outdoors grew along with him. Taxidermy caught his eye over 25 years ago. Dan knew a man that had been doing taxidermy since 1938. C.H. Berg was his name, a truly interesting man he will never forget. His techniques were old school and mysterious. Dan knew this was something he wanted to do. An artistic way to preserve the memories of those things he loves most. Dan dabbled in taxidermy from then on, always wishing he could find the time to attend school and become a trained, licensed taxidermist. Finally the opportunity presented itself and his longtime hobby turned into a profession. Inspired buy a man that touched his life so many years ago, Dan has made "the art of taxidermy" another facet of his many creative talents. |
